What's the deal with flight 303137309?

Why is it not in test1_flighthistory.csv? Doesn't look like a big deal, but would like to make sure that this is not a symptom of a possibly bigger issue with the data.

Hi Anil,

Could you clarify what you mean - why do you expect it to be in test1_flighthistory.csv?

Thanks!

Sorry I was unclear. Every flight in testFlightsRev3.csv has a corresponding entry in test1_flighthistory.csv, except for flight 303137309. That's odd.

Among other things, how can I tell which airport this flight came from?

Hi Anil,

Thanks for the post. We've done some digging and yes, flight 303137309 should show up in test1_flighthistory. I'll be uploading a revised set of flies to the data page later today.

The flight hit an edge case that our scripts didn't fully account for --- it is over 10 hours delayed (comparing published and actual departure).

Sorry for the confusion, and thanks for your sharp eyes.

Revised test1_flighthistory now available on the data page.

This was also mentioned a few weeks ago by a few other people.

Has anyone noticed there are 89 flights (rows) in 'testFlightsRev3.csv' with zero ground speed -- all above 21000 ft altitude.
Also, the flight with FlightHistoryId = 303137309 has no history record in 'test1_flighthistory.csv'.
Have these two issues been discussed anywhere?

Thanks for pointing that out, Tanstaafl. I'm sorry that post got lost among the other posts in that thread.

As for some flights having zero ground speed at high altitude, that's the nature of the data. This is real flight data and there is noise, errors, etc.
